Poinsettia Sale

11/1/2016

The poinsettia sale has started and goes through Monday, November 14th at 3PM.  I ordered several last year to give as gifts.  They are GORGEOUS!  I was very impressed with their beauty and their quality.  I'm not so great at keeping plants alive, and they lasted a long time.  The smaller plant is what I would call "average" size.  The larger one is like a tree!  Well maybe not quite that big, but it is pretty big.  Each plant sold (regardless of size) will earn your student $4 for his/her account.

Delivery will be on Friday December 2 from 3PM - 6PM in the high school pool entrance.

Product Information:
6” poinsettia $10.00 (Red, White, Pink, Marble, Burgundy); 5-6 blooms/plant; average height: 14”
8.5” poinsettia $15.00 (Red, White, Pink, Marble); 18-22 blooms/plant; average height: 18-22”
Each plant comes in a dark green, pleated foil pot cover with a satin protective sleeve

Travel Tips for Ford Field

Travel tip from a band parent:

If you Google directions to Ford Field it will take you in on 94 to 75 and 375 -  and then you get stuck in that awful bottleneck getting off the highway and into that Ford Field parking garage.   There’s a much better way to get there.  If you Google ‘Detroit Tigers parking garage’ and follow those directions you avoid the bottleneck and the garage is twice the size so it’s easier to park.

You take M-10 all the way downtown to Grand River Ave (exit 2C).   Take Grand River to the Lodge service drive (runs right beside I-75) and it puts you right next to that parking garage.  You turn right on Brush St. and the entrance is right there.  Ford Field is right across the street.  We did this last year and it was so much easier getting in – but especially getting out.  If you’ve parked in that Ford Field lot you know what it’s like getting out of there.

Brush St. is closed off for Ford Field events so it’s so easy getting out.  Turn left – cross I-75 and follow the service drive on the other side back to Grand River and get right back on the highway.

I couldn’t believe how few people parked in there.  Everybody from Jenison could park there and it wouldn’t be half full.
